Keynote Speaker: Saiph Savage is an Assistant Professor, Director, Civic A.I. Lab at Khoury College of Computer Sciences, Northeastern University http://www.saiph.org | https://civicai.khoury.northeastern.edu/

Session Overview:

  • Phase 1 - Keynote (30-45 minutes): This talk explores how to design AI systems that are not only powerful, but also useful, fair, and responsive to real human needs. Human-centered AI asks a simple but urgent question: What happens when we design AI with the people most affected by it? Through vivid examples from work, healthcare, education, and public life, the talk shows why AI systems must be built with attention to human values, lived experience, culture, power, and accountability.

    Why It Matters ?

AI is already shaping who gets hired, what information people see, how workers are managed, and how institutions make decisions. Learning human-centered AI helps us build systems that do more than optimize metrics. It helps us create AI that people can trust, question, shape, and use to build better futures.

  • Phase 2 - Discussion (15-30 minutes) : Following the keynote, a Q&A debate session will be held for students to exchange ideas.

Participation: This keynote is opened to every teams.
