Use of AI tools:

We used AI tools such as ChatGPT and Google Gemini during different stages of our work. We mainly used these tools for technical assistance, organizing ideas, improving structure, and helping with writing. They were useful for clarifying concepts, suggesting ways to present information more clearly, and improving the overall flow of the work. The tools also helped us save time when brainstorming ideas, checking the coherence of arguments, and refining certain parts of the text. We used them as supportive tools to guide the development and presentation of our work while keeping the final decisions, analysis, and content aligned with our own understanding.

Reflection on the process (important):

Explain how your contribution evolved during Phase 2:

1. The feedback we received through comments and keynote sessions, along with our examination of other teams' proposals led us to the realization that although we had a solid idea in our initial contribution, it was quite lacking in terms of cohesiveness. We felt we were missing several components which would turn our idea into a full-fledged proposal which could be reviewed and implemented. Dr Alain Goudey highlighted how AI is a cognitive amplifier when you choose to learn with it and how we gain a competitive advantage when we focus on the cognitive impact of AI rather than blind consumption. These points align clearly with our thought process and ideology, and allowed us to confidently proceed in developing our framework.

2. We then explored existing policy frameworks and documentation and decided to structure our framework in a similar manner. Our idea couldn't be implemented independently and required other components to work in tandem in order to achieve our intended effect. Since we believe that GenAI has already had significant impact on higher education, we expanded the proposal beyond a single pedagogical idea into a broader framework addressing evaluation, curriculum, classroom interaction, governance, accessibility, and faculty support.

3. After reflecting on the questions raised in the comments, insights from the keynote sessions, and advice from our mentors, we were able to come up with a complete and comprehensive framework that addressed every aspect that we planned to.
