Often, they lack even the most basic computer skills;\nworse still, many have never even touched a computer in their entire lives. No, not with CYBER BOX.\n \n“CYBER BOX” is a program aimed at rapidly training thousands of young people in digital professions, especially in rural and/or isolated areas where educational infrastructure is limited or nonexistent. This project takes the form of smart micro-schools, which are actually modular training centers—modern structures made from recycled and repurposed shipping containers, powered entirely by solar energy.\nEach micro-school functions as a mini-center of excellence: equipped with computers, a local server, an internet connection (4G/5G with backup), and an interactive whiteboard, it enables the teaching of a wide range of digital fields such as web development, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, digital design, and IoT technologies. Thanks to an autonomous solar system with batteries, these centers can operate even during power outages.\n\nAt the heart of the project is a bilingual AI (Wolof/French), available 24/7, which supports learners, explains lessons, corrects exercises, and adapts content to each student’s level, thereby enhancing educational effectiveness.\n\nThe program, structured over 6 to 12 months, combines computer fundamentals, technical specialization, and the development of practical projects (apps, data analysis, IoT prototypes). Each micro-school can train 40 to 60 young people per year, enabling rapid and scalable deployment nationwide. \n\nThis decentralized, low-cost, and agile model offers a modern alternative to traditional universities. \n\nSince these micro-schools are built using shipping containers, they can be set up in a relatively short time (theoretically less than two months) and at a low cost. This makes it a concrete project that aligns directly with the Sustainable Development Goals, the implementation of which would pose only a minor challenge.\n Thanks to “CYBER BOX,” after one year (two cycles), 50 micro-schools could train 4,000 to 6,000 young people in IT and digital professions, creating a veritable army of motivated young professionals ready to flood the job market. Furthermore, as project leaders, these young people will help usher in a new digital era.\n \n\nBecause education shapes today’s world and IT will build tomorrow’s, “CYBER BOX” strives to combine the best of both worlds to offer young people in remote areas a brighter future.\n</div></dd>\n</dl></xml>"},"title":{"en":"Growing talent where it exists"}}
